EcoOcean is an ongoing research effort between Ecopath International Initiative (Spain), the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) (Spain), the Institute of the Oceans and Fisheries at the University of British Columbia (Canada), and Mountainsoft (Canada)

We see EcoOcean as a test bed for ecological hypotheses, assessing the ecosystem effects of various cumulative impacts onto the global marine ecosystem, and for raising the scientific bar to make the process of ecosystem modelling better.
